With tourists staying away during the coronavirus pandemic, this is the summer for Alaskans to explore their own backyard. At 13.2 million acres, Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve is the largest national park in the United States but is also one of the least visited. Violence sucks. Native people living under so much suppression regulations restrictions caused by the bad white outsiders seeking to manipulate stipulate plunder the native peoples state of heritage while denying them equal rights of developmental resources and self-sustaining goals and claims. Imagine the native people's tribes living without restrictions or regulations so they too can become wealthy and rich to give themselves a high self-esteem and pride to live and not commit suicide, just because they are all restricted to become the slaves. They'll most likely to survive and live longer if the natives can have equal rights and equal positions where the ancestors had always been before the enclosure movement happened and effected all the brainwashed natives

The family did her so dirty. I hope it drags them down each and every day too. You NEVER give up on your sons and daughters. I’ve known people who had to go to rehab multiple times before it clicked and now they are healthy again. If you don’t want to pay for it anymore? Don’t and just let them figure it out for themselves that they need to get clean. Even if she survived the withdrawal, she would’ve relapsed the second she got out because she wasn’t ready to get clean, she was forced to and it ended up killing her. As someone who was an addict since 14 (21 now) this one really hits home. I started Suboxone and my recovery date 3/7/2. I know I’m not clean but I believe it saved my life. It probably could’ve saved hers too. RIP 🙏

The winters must have been long and brutal. He had a lot of time to work on projects and to write. I will always remember him saying that visitors loved the beauty of the area but within 2 weeks wanted to make it like where they came from. Dick was special he learned that less is more and found true happiness. Most people go to the grave unfulfilled.

Hell Yeah when my husband was 10 year's old he needed a new heart. Cause his heart was failing and doctor's don't know what caused it. And he was at school when they found a heart for him. And he had to quickly get to the hospital. They performed the surgery and he had to stay in the intensive care unit. He was happy waking up. Had to do test's like running exercise. And he was able to go home after a week. And everybody was happy seeing him go back to school. He's 39 year's old and is doing excellent. Never had no issue's with his heart. The person who donated there heart was a 5 year old girl who was killed by a drunk driver. Jesse reached out to the mother who was very happy hearing he received her daughter's heart. And she wished so could met him. And Jesse and his Aunt drove up there and met the mother. And she explained what happened and Jesse and his Aunt was shocked. The suspect was sentenced to life without parole but took his life. Jesse said it has been hell for him due to losing his Grandparents by a drunk driver. And then a week after that both his dad and his godfather was killed by a drunk driver. And then Jesse dealing with his heart issue's. The lady was like shocked and was happy that Jesse's is doing good. And begged him to stay in school don't quit. And he graduated and she was standing next to his Aunt while he walked to receive his diploma. The lady was about to get married but the accident happened. And she never did but she did a year later. And Jesse surprised her by being the flower boy (Cause her daughter was supposed to be the flower girl) She was happy watching Jesse walk down the isle throwing flowers. She ran up to Jesse and was crying and she grabbed him and hugged him. And Jesse hugged her back. And people was like ??? And she grab the mic and stated that Jesse received Nicole's heart. And she said other thing's. When Jesse was older to get a tattoo. He got the tattoo of Nicole tattooed on his chest above the heart. And it say's the date she was born and the date she died. Jesse tells everybody that's his 2nd birthday. Cause he was born again with her heart. The mother had another baby and she named it Jesse and Jesse's the godfather. And the girl is old enough to understand she had a older sister and she passed away and Jesse has her heart.

The constant need to label every part & detail of his cabin, to personality, "the door was his art", "master builder" "a recycler before his time" a "mcgiver" "professional hiker". The lables pass over & dismiss the many cultures & traditions of the world & how much we have lost. Today there is a need to count every single act as individual action- there was a time in every culture had a wide range of skills to live & survive. This reporter seems to have lived their life in the city. As a farmers daughter, for many generations, it was a natural process NOT to purchase items, as rake or barry picker. It was a way of life. People did not live with credit cards, phones, student loans. Instead we have been sold on the idea of a lifestyle & what it looks like, what to buy, the cookie cutter lifestyles. Other cultures still hold to many traditions & customs just as deomstrated by Dick. Dick took as back to a time of self reliability & living respectfully with nature. Instead of a consumer society. Having many skills was a way of life and survival. The modern way of life & the amount of time we constantly waste. Dick, as many lived made use of every moment, quilting by hand, making clothes, canning food, the care of animals, crops, gardens. We come from many generations of Dick Proenneke. Never forget we all come from amazing adventurers to settle & build America. Dick knew what he wanted from life and changed to live his dreams. Dick Proennekes life story reminds us through reflection the beauty of nature & a simple life, how much things have changed. Change is not always good or beneficial. Live a conscious life, protect nature, have many skills, as Dick showed us and our ancesters lived.
